Implosives which are found in the world&#8217;s languages are nearly always <a href=\"http:\/\/blogjam.name\/sid\/?page_id=595\">voiced <\/a>and combine the above mechanism with a simultaneous <a href=\"http:\/\/blogjam.name\/sid\/?page_id=142\">pulmonic egressive airstream<\/a>. Implosives may be produced at a number of <a href=\"http:\/\/blogjam.name\/sid\/?page_id=1524\">places of articulation<\/a>.  The implosives shown on the IPA chart are: <span style=\"color: navy;\"><strong>\u0253 \u0257 \u0284 \u0260<\/strong><\/span>. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogjam.name\/sid\/?page_id=527\">Voiceless<\/a> implosives have been reported for Kichean languages of Guatemala, though there appears to be a good deal of variation in the phonetic realisation of the sounds concerned.
