An example from the accentuation of compounds involves structures of the form <strong>N<sub>i<\/sub><\/strong> + <strong>N<sub>c<\/sub><\/strong>, where <strong>N<sub>i<\/sub><\/strong> is a noun referring to an ingredient and <strong>N<sub>c<\/sub><\/strong> is a noun referring to a confection.  The general pattern for such compounds is that the main accent falls within <strong>N<sub>c<\/sub><\/strong>: \u02ccapple &#8216;pie, \u02ccchocolate &#8216;sauce, \u02ccraspberry &#8216;jelly.
